In the late 26th century a plan was conceived to travel back to the present day to secure vital compounds not available in that time in an attempt to develop a vaccine to rid the world of a devastating virus.
But this plan was compromised by a group of rebel scientists who took advantage of the line opened in time to travel back and extract natural resources from the present day to aid in their quest to escape Earth.
Steve Garner, along with twenty five others, was supplanted into the late 20th century as an infant to create the perfect group of sleeper agents to thwart the rebel scientists.
Those agents are being activated in the early 21st Century.
